This exclusive club, established in 2007 by the Fruit of Love Community Chest of Korea, recognizes major donors who have contributed over 100 million won.
Here are some of the Youngest K-pop idols who have become members of the Honor Society of Community Chest of Korea in 2024.
Nayeon of TWICE
In 2024, Nayeon, a talented member of the popular group TWICE, achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first member of the Honor Society. The Ulsan Community Chest of Korea confirmed that Nayeon’s induction ceremony took place at the JYP Entertainment building in Gangdong-gu, Seoul.
On this special day, Nayeon was honored as the first member of the Fruit of Love 2024 and the 3333rd honor member nationwide, representing Ulsan (No. 126). Nayeon’s generous donation of 30 million won will be utilized to cover surgical expenses for medically underprivileged individuals at Donggang Hospital in Ulsan, which is operated by the Donggang Medical Foundation.
Back in 2020, Nayeon displayed her incredible generosity by donating 50 million won to the Fruit of Love. She also actively participated in special fundraising efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and aid in recovery from its impact. Then, in 2023, when the Turkiye-Syria earthquake struck, Nayeon selflessly donated a significant amount of 200 million won to Save the Children.
Felix of Stray Kids
Felix from Stray Kids has been making headlines as the youngest ever member of the Honor Society! On January 4, the Korean Committee for UNICEF announced that Felix generously donated 100 million won. This incredible act of kindness has earned him a special place in the history of the UNICEF Honors Club.
Felix’s donation will directly benefit Laotian children who are facing challenges in their growth. The funds will be dedicated to improving access to clean drinking water and sanitation facilities for these children. Additionally, the donation will support important projects focused on providing nutritional support.
Felix expressed his heartfelt reasons for participating in this donation. He shared that he wanted to give back the love and support he has received. Felix hopes that the children in Laos, who face challenges related to polluted water, hygiene, and nutrition, will be able to grow up healthy in a safer environment.
Doyoung of NCT
Wow, Doyoung from NCT contributed significantly in spreading holiday cheer. Last December, he became Santa by generously donating 50 million won to the Fruit of Love. The Social Welfare Community Chest of Korea acknowledged his kind gesture, stating that the donation will be used to support children in line with Doyoung’s wishes.
He donated 100 million won to help with the recovery efforts after the Turkiye-Syria earthquake in February. Additionally, he joined the Honor Society, a group of donors who have contributed over 100 million won.
Haechan of NCT
Doyoung’s bandmate, Haechan is also a member of the Honor Society. In August of last year, he showed his compassion by participating in emergency relief activities for the victims of the forest fires on Maui Island, Hawaii, USA. It was reported that Haechan generously donated 50 million won to support this cause.
This isn’t his first time making a significant donation. In February last year, he donated a whopping 100 million won to the Fruit of Love Community Chest of Korea to aid in the restoration efforts after the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
His donation was used for humanitarian relief activities, providing essential supplies like food kits, tents, blankets, and thermal insulation products to those in temporary shelters. Thanks to his kindness, Haechan became member No. 3113 of the Honor Society, a group of major donors to the Fruit of Love.
