ENHYPEN to Drop a Remake of BTS’ ‘I NEED U’ as Part of Spotify Singles Program

ENHYPEN is back with a rendition of BTS’ popular song!

On February 16, BELIFT LAB announced that ENHYPEN will be dropping a remake of BTS’ I NEED U through the Spotify Singles program. 

Spotify Singles is a special program offered by Spotify, the biggest music platform worldwide. It’s designed to support artists by allowing them to record cover songs or new tracks. 

This remake song is part of the celebration for the 10th anniversary of the launch of K-Pop ON! The theme is all about ‘My First Love of K-Pop’. ENHYPEN had the honor of being the first runner to participate in this special project. 

I Need You is an electro hip-hop banger that stole everyone’s hearts as the title track of BTS’ third mini album, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 1, which dropped back in 2015. 

ENHYPEN put their own spin on it and added their unique touch. Instead of the electronic synth sound in the original, they incorporated acoustic instruments, creating a sweet and charming version of the song. 

Regarding the song selection, the agency stated, “It is a song that all members love. It is meaningful because we can tell the story of our first K-pop love.”

Interestingly, Bang Si-hyuk personally approved their arrangement of the song. 

On another note, ENHYPEN will be holding a world tour encore called FATE PLUS in Seoul from February 23-25. Also, they would be holding concerts in 5 US cities.
