On April 18, Donga Otsuka revealed that Wonhee from ILLIT has been chosen as the new face of Pocari Sweat.
Wonhee, born in 2007, possesses an innocent charm that her fans both domestically and internationally adore.
Donga Otsuka officials mentioned that even before her debut, she was a top candidate for the Pocari Sweat model role due to her distinctive lively, and vibrant presence.
Pocari Sweat ads are known as the ‘pathway to fame’ for emerging actors. Alongside the iconic Son Yejin, many other stars like Han Jimin, Park Shin Hye, TWICE, and Kim So Hyun have modeled for the brand.
The brand manager of Donga Otsuka Pocari Sweat, Lee Jun-cheol, mentioned that they chose Wonhee from ILLIT for her diverse charms to represent the pure and clear blue of Pocari Sweat.
Additionally, he stated that with the selection of Wonhee as the 29th model for Pocari Sweat, a total of 10 individuals with different characteristics have been chosen. He expressed his desire for Pocari Sweat’s message of supporting teenagers to be effectively communicated.
Furthermore, a teaser and TV commercial showcasing the refreshing chemistry between Wonhee and Pocari Sweat are set to premiere in May.
