On May 14, PLEDIS Entertainment announced that SEVENTEEN, in partnership with UNESCO Korea, has established two learning centers in East Timor, providing essential educational resources to the local community.

This joint initiative aims to support education and development in the region.

Last month, two brand-new learning hubs in East Timor were built thanks to the group’s ‘Going Together’ initiative.

In East Timor’s Oecusse and Manatuto provinces, newly established learning centers will offer a range of empowering programs, including literacy, computer, sewing, Korean, and English skills.

Through these initiatives, PLEDIS aims to provide annual educational opportunities to approximately 300 individuals from underprivileged backgrounds.

As part of their ‘Going Together’ campaign, launched in August 2022 with the Korean National Commission for UNESCO, SEVENTEEN continues to promote global education and highlight its importance.

Plus, SEVENTEEN used part of their 2022 world tour proceeds to support education in Malawi, Africa.

They also raised awareness for underprivileged education at a fan meeting and were exclusively invited to speak and perform at the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum in Paris, France.

This milestone was made possible through the collaborative partnership with PLEDIS, UNESCO, and the Korean National Commission for UNESCO to expand ‘Going Together’ into a global initiative.

On the work front, SEVENTEEN will be performing at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka on May 18 and 19 and Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa on June 25 and 26.
