A Girl & Her Guard Dog Plot
This story follows the story of a young girl named Isaku, a Yakuza family princess, who lost her parents in a tragic accident when she was 5. Following her parents’ death, her gangster grandfather vows to take care of her and raise her as part of the clan. That’s how she unexpectedly became the daughter of a Yakuza boss, however, it deprived her of living a normal life.
Because of her family ties, she faced social isolation and was avoided by her classmates. As she is about to enter high school, she is determined to lead a normal life and have a ‘normal romance’. However, her dreams were soon crushed when the loyal family servant entered alongside Isaku to protect her.
Isaku’s dedicated guardian is Keiya, a 26-year-old boy who poses as a teenager to protect her from vile high schoolers, especially boys. Isaku, who dreamt of a normal life, has to deal with chain-smoking, pistol-wielding, knight-in-shining armor now.

On July 15, an official teaser for “A Girl & Her Guard Dog” was released where Isaku was seen wishing for an ‘ordinary, happy romance’, however, not on Keiya’s watch. While she is desperate to fall in love, the overprotective guardian tells her ‘she is too young for romance’. He is ready to scare off any boys that come even a little close to Isaku.
