Netflix’s K-drama A Time Called You brings together elements of romance, mystery, and time travel in a Korean remake of the Taiwanese hit Someday or One Day. The drama features Jeon Yeo Been, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Kang Hoon in emotionally layered dual roles. Plus, the layered plot unfolds across two timelines: 2023 and 1998.
Plot
The story centers on Han Jun Hee, played by Jeon Yeo Been, who is still grieving the sudden death of her boyfriend, Koo Yeon Jun. One day, she receives a package containing a mysterious cassette tape. When she plays it, she’s transported back in time to 1998. In that year, Jun Hee wakes up in the body of a high school student named Kwon Min Joo.
There, she meets Nam Si Heon (also Ahn Hyo Seop), who resembles her late boyfriend, and In Gyu (Kang Hoon), Min Joo’s longtime friend harboring secret feelings for her.
As Jun Hee learns more about Min Joo’s life, she realizes she may be in danger, and begins to search for a way to save her while uncovering truths across both timelines.
Cast and Characters
Jeon Yeo Been takes on two distinct characters: the present-day Jun Hee and the 1998 student Min Joo. Jeon, recognized for her performances in Vincenzo, Be Melodramatic and film Night in Paradise, brings emotional depth to both Jun Hee and Min Joo.
Ahn Hyo Seop, familiar to viewers from Business Proposal and Dr. Romantic, plays both Yeon Jun and Si Heon. Kang Hoon, seen in The Red Sleeve and Little Women, portrays In Gyu.
