aespa’s Winter was left fuming after her recent Weverse live session was repeatedly disrupted by unwanted sasaeng calls.
On July 28, the 23-year-old K-pop singer went live on Weverse to interact with fans. However the live was constantly disrupted by sasaeng calls and was eventually cut off.
Winter restarted the live titled Don’t call me, and shared, “Please do not call me, why are you calling me? Are you curious that this is my number? Yes, it is.”
She asked the caller to not call her as they were interrupting her ‘precious’ time with MYs (aespa’s fandom name).
The aespa member looked visibly upset and angered after repetitive calls ruined her time with the fans.
MYs are outraged, believing the sasaeng was trying to grab attention through harassing calls. They’re also slamming SM Entertainment for allegedly failing to protect aespa’s privacy, allowing Winter’s personal number to be leaked.
This is not the first time Sasaengs have called idols during live, previously, SEVENTEEN Mingyu, Hoshi, Jeonghan, and many others received calls from sasaengs.
On the other hand, aespa recently held concerts in Osaka as part of their world tour, SYNK: Parallel Line, on July 27-28. They will be performing in Hong Kong next on August 3 followed by Taipei on August 10.
