As per reports, aespa’s Winter is currently in the hospital recovering from pneumothorax surgery.

According to Ten Asia, Winter underwent pneumothorax surgery at a prominent large hospital in Seoul on April 11 and is currently in recovery.

Pneumothorax is a condition where air or gas collects in the pleural cavity (the sealed space between the two layers of the pleura) when a hole forms in the surface of the lung and air leaks in or enters.

Winter reportedly completed her Japanese schedule before undergoing pneumothorax surgery. aespa departed for Japan on April 6 and later appeared on the popular Japanese music program Venue 101.

aespa is set to hold a world tour starting in June alongside their comeback in May

It is known that pneumothorax surgery typically requires 2-3 days of hospitalization post-operation, with complete recovery taking an additional two months. While monitoring Winter’s health recovery progress, it is stated that there should be no issues with participating in comeback activities and the world tour schedule.
