After Karina, aespa’s Winter took to the mound to throw the ceremonial first pitch at a Baseball game.
On July 25, aespa’s Winter threw the first pitch at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul for the Doosan Bears’ game against the Kiwoom Heroes in the 2024 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League.
It is no secret that the 23-year-old singer is a big fan of the Doosan Bears baseball team. She owns a team uniform and had always wanted to throw the first pitch, which she finally got to do.
The Doosan Bears’ mascot, Cheol Woong, actively campaigned for Winter to throw the first pitch. Cheol-woong started the ‘Supernova’ challenge and even visited aespa’s concert site in June.
Despite aespa’s packed world tour schedule, she made time to throw the ceremonial first pitch for the Doosan Bears. The team revealed that Winter adjusted her busy schedule, which includes touring 14 regions until September.
Previously, on June 9, Karina of aespa threw the ceremonial first pitch at the SSG Landers vs. Lotte Giants game in Busan, becoming a ‘victory fairy’ for the team.
On another note, aespa dropped their Japanese single Hot Mess containing 3 songs on July 3. They are scheduled to perform in Osaka on July 26-27 as part of their world tour followed by Hong Kong on August 3, Taipei on August 10, and Jakarta on August 24.
