AKMU’s Suhyun takes on a new challenge as the voice actor for the main character in the anime Your Letter.
Your Letter is a feature-length animated film based on the popular webtoon by Jo Hyun Ah. The story follows Sori, a student who is bullied and transfers to a rural town to help a friend in a similar situation. There, she finds a letter from Hoyeon, a former student who sat in the same seat.
In the animated film Your Letter, Suhyun has been cast as the voice of the main character, Sori. Sori, a 17-year-old high school student, sets out to find a letter written by Hoyeon.
The 25-year-old K-pop star shared her excitement about the new role, saying, “’Your Letter’, which I enjoyed so much, was being made into an animation, so I wanted to see it before anyone else, and I thought it would be an honorable opportunity to act with an original voice.”
The animated film has earned a coveted spot in the Special Screening section of the 2024 Ottawa International Animated Film Festival (OIAF), taking place from September 25-29.
Fans are curious to see how Suhyun, known for her beautiful voice and emotional expression, will adapt her vocal skills to this new medium.
