ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo took to social media to pay a heartfelt tribute to his late group member, Moonbin, on what would have been his 27th birthday.
On January 26, he shared a post remembering his late friend and fellow ASTRO member Moonbin, with a caption, “Happy birthday, I miss you”.
Besides that, the idol-turned-actor shared a photo of the Choco Pie cake he had prepared in memory of him. Another photo was of a cherished moment with Moonbin and their fellow members, taken during happier times.
Cha Eunwoo shared a heartfelt video on YouTube, singing Shin Seung Hoon’s iconic ballad “Long After That” in honor of Moonbin’s birthday.
Last year, the “True Beauty” actor celebrated his birthday by singing Slander’s “Love is Gone” on his 26th birthday.
Moonbin tragically passed away on April 19, 2023, at the age of 25. His agency, Fantagio, confirmed the news, saying Moonbin had “left us to become a star in the sky,” and that his fellow group members, artists, and staff were overcome with sadness and shock.
Cha Eunwoo shared his experience with grief on tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ last year. He explained that writing lyrics for an album helped him process his emotions. However, he admitted that it was tough to sing those songs, even now. He also mentioned that the pain of loss still lingers and affects his daily life.
When asked about his well-being, the K-pop star confessed that he struggles to respond. Instead, he is focusing on moving forward and living well, as he believes that’s what Moonbin would have wanted.
On the work front, Cha Eunwoo is cast as male lead in Netflix’s upcoming drama “The WONDERfools’. He is also in talks to star alongside Go Min Si in a new drama by Hong Sister, details to be announced later.
