BABYMONSTER is teaming up with the wildly popular mobile game “Battleground Mobile” (PUBGM) for a special collaboration that combines music, gaming, and fun.
The popular mobile game celebrates its 7th anniversary, and they have tapped the rising girl group for collaboration.
As announced by YG Entertainment today, BABYMONSTER’s catchy music and style will take over the PUBGM universe from March 21 to May 7.
YG officials stated, “We are thrilled to showcase the Baby Monster IP in a new world, ‘PUBGM’. We hope this collaboration will provide a special experience where fans can not only listen to the music but also experience and enjoy it firsthand.”
As part of the collaboration, BABYMONSTER’s hit title track “DRIP” from their debut full-length album will feature the in-game lobby background music. Moreover, players can also engage with the group’s music in a unique way by installing a virtual cassette tape. This will unlock their songs and allow fans to follow along with the choreography.
The game features the group’s music world in some maps. Players can ride a red bus with the group’s logo and watch a special video message from the members. In addition to that, they can take photos with them in a photo booth and collect Space Gift items designed by the members.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is currently on their first world tour, “HELLO MONSTERS“, which kicked off with sold-out concerts in Seoul, Newark, and Los Angeles. The extensive tour will span 20 cities, with 29 concerts scheduled across Asia and North America. Their upcoming stops include Nagoya (March 22-23), Osaka (April 3-4), Yokohama (April 12-13), and more.
