Last year, BLACKPINK’s Jennie made her Hollywood debut with HBO’s The Idol, produced and starring, The Idol.
While the HBO series faced some criticism and wasn’t renewed for a second season, fans were impressed with Jennie’s acting abilities.
More recently, Jennie attended The Weeknd’s birthday party. Jensetters were delighted to know that they had managed to maintain a close relationship after meeting through The Idol.
On February 18, the owner of a jewelry company, Mimi Tohmé, posted two affectionate photos of Jennie on social media. It is known that the two of them attended The Weeknd’s birthday party on February 16 at a theater in Los Angeles, California, and had a great time.
The Weeknd, who is both a singer and an actor, was not only the producer but also the lead actor of Jennie’s first acting debut in the HBO series The Idol. Jennie gained attention for her daring exposure and impressive acting skills in The Idol. Unfortunately, the series itself received mixed reviews and ended prematurely.
But even after the show ended, the Solo singer continued to maintain strong friendships with several actors she worked with and proudly displayed a content smile.
On another note, Jennie has established her own one-person label, OA. She’ll be appearing in the new tvN entertainment show, Apartment 404, which premieres on February 23.
