In response to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, people worldwide, including Muslims, are boycotting brands that support Israel amid the ongoing conflict.

On November 12, the 28-year-old singer shared photos from an Osaka pizza restaurant visit during her recent Japan trip for a performance at Superpop festival. While fans enjoyed her playful pizza poses, one image ignited criticism: Jennie casually holding a Coca-Cola cup.

The seemingly harmless photo drew backlash due to Coca-Cola’s perceived ties to Israel, amidst the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Netizens slam Jennie for using Coca-Cola, urging her to boycott the brand due to its controversial factory in Atarot.

Despite not being on the BDS boycott list, Coca-Cola’s presence in Atarot, an illegal Israeli settlement in Occupied Palestine, has sparked calls for a boycott.

Besides Jennie, BTS V, LE SSERAFIM, ENHYPEN’s Jake, Jeon Somi, and more received intense backlash for promoting the boycotted brand.

The “You & Me” singer was previously embroiled in controversy after being caught smoking indoors.

On the work front, Jennie is set to release a new debut studio album in the coming months after making a solo comeback with “Mantra” on October 11.
