All BLACKPINK members have signed with international record labels for their solo careers!
Jisoo is the last BLACKPINK member to sign an exclusive solo contract with an overseas label. The 30-year-old singer and actress will manage her solo music career with Warner Records.
On January 29, Warner Records welcomed Jisoo to the family with a social media post. While she has set up her personal agency BLISSOO, the upcoming release “AMORTAGE” will be in collaboration with the aforementioned label.
The CEO and Co-chairman of Warner Records, Aaron Bay-Schuck dished on signing with the BLACKPINK vocalist, saying, “There is no question that Jisoo is one of the biggest stars in the world, and we’ve no doubt that her solo career will be even more impactful.”
He added, “Her music transcends cultures and Tom Corson and I along with the team are thrilled to team up with Jisoo as she continues to make history and inspire millions around the world.”
On the other hand, the “Flower” singer also shared her excitement about working with the label, saying, “I’m excited about this new era and the continuation of my musical journey. I’d like to thank BLINKs for all of their love and support. This is just the beginning and I am thrilled to kick off this SEISMIC moment with Warner Records.”
The label manages many renowned artists such as Teddy Swims, Mac Miller, Michael Bublé, Dua Lips, Cher, Rini, Dijon, Neil Young, Eliza Rose, and more.
Three out of four BLACKPINK members (Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa) established their personal labels and signed with international agencies as well. Additionally, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa have secured solo recording contracts with top US labels, partnering with Columbia Records, Atlantic Records, and RCA Records, respectively.
Meanwhile, Jisoo will release “AMORTAGE” in collaboration with BLISSOO and Warner Records on February 14. She will also make her acting comeback with the comedy disaster drama “Newtopia”, available on Coupang Play starting February 14.
