So that’s a wrap on Jisoo’s very first solo tour!
The BLACKPINK star performed to thousands of fans in seven Asian cities for her tour “LIGHTS, LOVE, ACTION!”. The tour ran from March 14 to 30.
Jisoo performed 10 shows in seven cities across Asia. The cities included Manila, Bangkok, Tokyo, Macau, Taipei, Hong Kong, and Hanoi. It is her first solo tour in nine years. The tour has attracted attention from music fans since its announcement. The tour’s 10 shows in seven cities were held at arena-level concert halls.
She sold out both days for her shows in Saitama at Saitama Super Arena, which has a capacity of 37,000 seats. The tour drew over 100K fans, and it is quite remarkable that she achieved this feat with the release of just six solo songs. Jisoo is the only BLACKPINK member who has yet to release a full album.
During the fan meeting, the K-pop star performed tracks from her single album ‘ME’ and mini-album ‘AMORTAGE‘, including the title song ‘earthquake’. The event also featured the first-ever live performances of b-side songs, such as ‘Your Love’, ‘TEARS’, and ‘Hugs & Kisses’. These performances created a major buzz on social media platforms like Instagram, X, YouTube, and TikTok.
She also performed solo debut songs ‘FLOWER’ and ‘All Eyes On Me’ during these tours. In addition, interactive segments including a Q&A session and game corners added to the fun.
Jisoo connected with her audience through personal greetings in local languages at each show. She has also been engaging with fans through her fan meeting tour and ‘AMORTAGE’ pop-up event.
Her recent releases, ‘AMORTAGE’ and ‘earthquake’, have been popular on music platforms worldwide for over a month. In addition, she also made her acting comeback with Coupang Play’s zombie comedy ‘Newtopia’, which is also available on Prime Video.
Jisoo will continue to work as a solo artist and actress, with upcoming projects including the movie ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint‘ and the Netflix series ‘Boyfriend on Demand’. Importantly, she is set to resume BLACKPINK activities in the coming months with a comeback expected in May followed by a world tour in July.
