BLACKPINK and ATEEZ charted on the prestigious Billboard HOT 100 with their newest releases!
While BLACKPINK’s return to the charts came as no surprise, ATEEZ impressed fans by securing their second Hot 100 entry, that too, in less than a month.
Both K-pop groups made their comebacks with new releases on July 11. BLACKPINK made their comeback with the single “JUMP” after nearly three years, while ATEEZ unveiled their repackaged album GOLDEN HOUR : Part.3 ‘In Your Fantasy Edition’, featuring “In Your Fantasy” as the title track.
The HOT 100 ranks songs based on a combination of physical and digital sales, streaming numbers, radio airplay, and YouTube views.
BLACKPINK’s ‘JUMP’ Lands in Billboard HOT 100 Top 30
BLACKPINK’s latest track “JUMP” entered the Billboard HOT 100 at No. 28 on the chart dated July 26, becoming the group’s tenth song to appear on the chart. Their previous highest rank was with “Ice Cream” featuring Selena Gomez, which peaked at No. 13..
It was followed by “Pink Venom” at No. 22 and “Shut Down” at No. 25. Both “Sour Candy” with Lady Gaga and “How You Like That” reached No. 33, while “Kill This Love” landed at #41.
Their earlier hits, “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Lovesick Girls,” charted at No. 55 and No. 59, respectively, and their collaboration with Dua Lipa, “Kiss and Make Up,” reached No. 93.
JUMP” also reached No. 1 on the Global 200, marking their third chart-topper there. The track recorded 123 million streams and sold 14,000 digital units globally. It also topped the Global Excl. U.S. chart, with 109.9 million streams and 11,000 sales from outside the United States.
In the UK, “JUMP” became BLACKPINK’s highest-charting non-collab track, debuting at No. 18 on the Official Singles Chart Top 40. It also appeared on six other UK charts including No. 6 on Singles Downloads and No. 5 on Video Streaming.
The song had its first reveal during BLACKPINK’s Goyang concert and was released without physical copies, remixes, or alternate versions. Despite limited promotion and stiff competition from global stars, it still made a major impact.
ATEEZ Charts HOT 100 Again with ‘In Your Fantasy
ATEEZ has earned their highest position yet on the U.S. Billboard HOT 100 chart.
The group’s new title track “In Your Fantasy,” from their repackaged album ‘GOLDEN HOUR: Part.3 ‘ In Your Fantasy Edition’ debuted at No. 68 on the HOT 100 chart dated July 26.
The achievement is especially notable as the group charted alongside global stars like Alex Warren, Justin Bieber, and Travis Scott.
This is ATEEZ’s second appearance on the chart after their lead single, ‘Lemon Drop,’ ranked #69, becoming the third K-pop boy group to chart on the HOT 100. Still, the entry raised eyebrows as the song was missing from several key global music charts.
Meanwhile, both BLACKPINK and ATEEZ have launched their respective world tours.
