Lisa celebrates a major milestone in her solo career.
The BLACKPINK member has scored her first entry on Billboard’s main album chart, the Billboard 200, with her newly released studio album “Alter Ego”.
On March 11 (Korean time), Billboard released the latest chart and Lisa’s first-ever studio album “Alter Ego” debuted at #7. The album secured the 7th position with 23.12 million on-demand streams and 45,500 units (28000 pure sales).
Lisa made her solo debut with a self-titled single album “Lalisa” in September 2021, however, it did not make the prestigious chart. The Thai-born rapper already broke numerous records with “Alter Ego” and securing a spot in the top 10 of Billboard 200 adds to the long list of achievements.
It is the highest-peaking release on the chart by a K-pop act this year so far. On top of all, “Alter Ego” had three Billboard HOT 100 entries as well ahead of the album’s release on February 28.
Pre-release songs “Rockstar” (#70), “New Woman” (#97), and “Born Again” (#69) entered the HOT 100 chart. The title song “FXCK UP THE WORLD” with Future is also predicted to enter the HOT 100.
Other songs from the album include “Elastigirl”, “Thunder”, “Rapunzel” (ft. Megan Thee Stallion), “Lifestyle”, “Chill”, and more.
In addition, BLACKPINK became the first K-pop girl group to have multiple members ranking in the top 10 on Billboard 200, with Rosé debuting at #3 and Lisa securing the 7th spot.
Meanwhile, Lisa has launched a comic company to launch an “Alter Ego” comic, telling the stories of her alter egos in more detail. More recently, Lisa also had the opportunity to perform at the Oscars with Raye and Doja, the first K-pop artist to perform at the Academy Awards.
The “Rockstar” rapper has kicked off 2025 on a high note with the release of her full-length album and Hollywood debut with “The White Lotus”. She will take the stage at Coachella 2025 next month along with bandmate Jennie as solo performers.
In the coming months, BLACKPINK will resume group activities and work on new music as all members have released solo albums. YG Entertainment is sequentially releasing the schedule for their massive 2025 tour.
