BLINKs and Lilies are furious that Lisa received no nominations in any category for the MAMA Awards.

The 27-year-old Thai-born rapper and dancer was noticeably absent from the MAMA Awards 2024 nominee list, which was revealed today (October 14). She did not make the cut despite three impressive solo releases this year.

The 2024 MAMA Awards considered releases between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024. Notably, Lisa’s singles ‘ROCKSTAR’ and ‘New Woman’ (feat. Rosalía) fell within this eligibility period.

“ROCKSTAR” and “New Woman” (ft. Rosalía) were in the top 10 most streamed K-pop songs on Spotify this year. Both songs, released around two months apart from each other, also entered the Billboard HOT 100.

She was noticeably absent from the top Daesang categories (Artist/Song/Album of the Year) as well as Best Collaboration and several other categories where she was eligible.

Fans are stunned that the Money rapper was not nominated for MAMA Awards, especially after receiving recognition at international award ceremonies.

Last month, she won the “Best K-pop” award at MTV VMAs and is nominated in several categories for MTV EMAs.

Fans are questioning the legitimacy of the MAMA Awards, alleging that winners are selected based on attendance rather than merit and that the voting process is rigged.

On another note, Lisa is set to make history as the first K-pop headlining act at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on October 15.
