K-pop superstar Lisa is expanding her creative horizons!
Best known as a member of BLACKPINK, the 27-year-old rapper and singer has been teasing content related to her upcoming album “ALTER EGO” for over a month.
Now, she has revealed an exciting new companion project: ‘ALTER-EGO’, a comic book series that draws inspiration from the concept of her first studio album.
Lisa is entering the comic book industry with ‘ALTER-EGO: THE OFFICIAL COMIC’, a companion to her upcoming album. This marks the debut of Lalisa Comics, a new partnership between the “Money” rapper and Zero Zero Entertainment.
Her new comic book, ‘ALTER-EGO: THE OFFICIAL COMIC’, is a 56-page project inspired by her forthcoming album ‘ALTER EGO’. The story features five characters – Roxi, Kiki, Vixi, Sunni, and Speedi – each representing a different side of Lisa’s personality.
The comic explores themes of transformation, courage, and unity. Japanese illustrators MINOMIYABI and Yungblud bring the story to life with their vibrant illustrations.
Lisa is partnering with Zero Zero Entertainment, a new venture led by CEO Josh Frankel, to launch Lalisa Comics. This imprint is named after her full name, Lalisa Manobal.
On another note, the Thai K-pop star recently ventured into acting with the premiere of “The White Lotus” season 3 on February 16. She also released a collaboration track “Born Again” with Raye and Doja Cat earlier this month. The song scored her the highest-charting entry on the Billboard HOT 100, debuting at #69.
Having already released multiple songs from “ALTER EGO”, Lisa will drop a full-length album “ALTER EGO” on February 28.
Meanwhile, ‘ALTER-EGO: THE OFFICIAL COMIC’ is now available for pre-order at lalisacomics.com with shipping starting in March. The first look at the comic’s artwork highlights scenes inspired by Lisa’s singles ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Moonlit Floor’.
