Kim Jiwoong, a rising star from the rookie K-pop group ZEROBASEONE (ZB1), is branching out with his own variety show. On August 9, he released the first teaser for Boy Detective Kim Jiwoong, giving fans a glimpse of his fun and quirky side. The show is set to premiere on August 30 at 6 p.m. KST.
Produced by Studio Horak Horak, known for Fearless Kkura with LE SSERAFIM, the web variety series follows Jiwoong as he takes on the role of a self-proclaimed “detective.” From aliens to bungee jumping, he promises to explore it all with a bold statement: “I can do it all.”
Before joining ZB1, Kim Jiwoong trained for nearly seven years and debuted multiple times with groups like INX, ATEEN, and B.I.T. His breakthrough came in 2023 on Boys Planet, where he ranked 8th and earned a spot in ZEROBASEONE.
The group officially debuted on July 10, 2023, with their mini-album Youth in the Shade, which sold over a million copies shortly after release and topped domestic charts.
Throughout August, ZB1 made waves with performances at major events, music festivals, and variety shows.
