On December 27, HYBE’s affiliate labels, including BIGHIT MUSIC, PLEDIS Entertainment, Source Music, ADOR, BELIFT LAB, and KOZ Entertainment, updated fans on their legal response status via Weverse.

BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN, NewJeans, ENHYPEN, and others have been taking legal action against malicious commenters. Many of these individuals have been convicted of defamation.

In one notable case, a defendant was fined 2 million won for repeatedly posting malicious comments about BTS, despite having been previously punished for similar offenses.

BIGHIT MUSIC updated fans on the legal proceedings, stating, “Since our previous notice, multiple suspects whose cases were forwarded to the prosecution have been fined up to 2 million won. Among them were individuals who continued uploading malicious posts despite being penalized in previous complaints. One defendant, who posted hundreds of insulting and defamatory statements on their personal blog, has been convicted and fined a total of 5 million won.”

The label continued, “Ongoing cases, including the damages lawsuit against “Taldeok Camp” (Sojang) and civil and criminal lawsuits related to the leak of artists’ personal information as well as stalking, are currently under progress. We’ll ensure that legal action is taken against all individuals who have infringed upon our artists’ rights.”

BIGHIT MUSIC is actively combating malicious rumors and defamation targeting our artists. This quarter, they have identified and reported numerous harmful posts on platforms like DCInside, Nate Pann, and others.

They are also taking action against malicious posts aimed at BTS members serving in the military. The label requested the fans to report any harmful content or illegal activities on https://protect.hybecorp.com.

Meanwhile, BTS will resume activities in the second half of 2025 following the completion of military service of all members.
