Rumors started circulating that BTS 2025 group comeback was uncertain after the HYBE CFO’s conference call on November 5.
ARMYs were left disappointed after it was hinted that their 2025 full-group plan had been pushed to 2026.
On November 7, BTS’ agency, BIGHIT MUSIC told Newsen, “We are closely discussing plans for BTS’s activities after their military discharge with the artists. Once specific plans, including the timing and method, are finalized, we will inform fans at an appropriate time.”
During HYBE’s Q3 earnings report conference call, CFO Lee Kyung Joon answered questions about BTS’ potential sales contribution in 2026. He stated that discussions with the group regarding their 2026 activities are ongoing,
If BTS reunites for a comeback and world tour, significant revenue is expected. However, Lee noted that the proportion of BTS’ sales will not likely be as high as in the past due to the growing success of other HYBE groups.
Rumors circulated that BTS 2025 group activities were canceled following HYBE’s recent conference call. However, it is too early to say if these claims are true
In September 2023, HYBE announced BTS’ contract renewal, stating the group would resume full-scale activities together in 2025.
During the conference call, HYBE’s CFO discussed potential sales projections for a 2026 tour. The mention of 2026 referred specifically to tour sales and the timeline for their activity schedule remains unchanged.
On another note, Jin, the first member to discharge from the military, has been actively promoting as a solo artist, with his debut album “Happy” slated for release on November 15.
J-Hope completed his active-duty service on October 17 and is now gearing up for solo activities. Remaining members Suga, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook will return in June next year.
