BTS’s j-hope has officially revealed a special collaborative version of Louis Vuitton’s LV BUTTERSOFT sneakers.
He first showed the exclusive design at the VIP opening of “LV The Place Seoul” in December last year. The space, located at Shinsegae The Reserve, is Louis Vuitton’s largest flagship store in the world and serves as a major cultural and retail hub. j-hope attended the event alongside other global stars, including BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Stray Kids’ Felix, Jun Ji Hyun, Gong Yoo, Shin Min Ah, and more.
The sneakers j-hope wore were a custom version of the LV BUTTERSOFT model in a warm rose pink color. The design features a soft, textured suede upper that gives the shoe a rich and cozy feel. The heel is finished with smooth leather in a soft pastel peach tone. Large LV initials appear on the side with a white outline, while the layered sole carries subtle pink details.
A small Monogram-canvas hangtag adds a special, collectible touch to the overall design.
The special j-hope LV BUTTERSOFT sneakers are scheduled for an official release in March. In South Korea, the sneakers will be available starting March 20, 2026, the day BTS makes their long-awaited comeback. A global release is planned to follow in May 2026. The retail price is expected to be approximately $1,950 USD, which is about 2,850,000 South Korean won.
The LV BUTTERSOFT model itself holds special meaning for the brand. It is the first original sneaker design created by Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director, Pharrell Williams, and was first introduced during the Fall/Winter 2025 collection.
The name comes from its ultra-soft leather, which gives the shoe a cushioned, pillow-like feel. The design blends a nostalgic early-2000s hip-hop style with modern luxury. Each pair is made through more than 250 detailed handcrafting steps by skilled artisans in Louis Vuitton’s factory in Italy. The standard LV BUTTERSOFT collection, featuring 24 color options, first launched worldwide in July 2025.
On the work front, j-hope’s group, BTS, has set their comeback date, March 20. They will also embark on their first world tour in years following the completion of military service.
