BTS member j-hope has achieved his highest debut yet on the prestigious Billboard HOT 100 chart.
His collaboration song “Sweet Dreams” with American Grammy award-winning artist Miguel was released on March 7. “Sweet Dreams” is a romantic R&B-pop song with heartfelt vocals and a dreamy melody. It expressed the “genuine desire to boldly love and be loved”.
On March 18 (KST), the Billboard HOT chart was unveiled, and j-hope’s “Sweet Dreams” ft. Miguel ranked at #66 on the Billboard HOT 100. In addition, his bandmate Jimin also continued his streak on the Billboard HOT 100 with “Who” at #29. It surpassed BTS’ “Dynamite” to become the longest-charting K-pop song on the US Billboards.
This is j-hope’s second-highest entry on the prestigious chart. He previously achieved his highest debut with “On The Street”, a collaboration single with J. Cole that dropped in 2023.
“Sweet Dreams” made a strong debut on other Billboard charts such as Global 200 (#16), and Global Excl. US (#12), and Digital Song Sales (#1).
Furthermore, the song made waves on UK Official Charts including Singles Sales Chart (#1), Singles Download Chart (#1), Independent Singles Chart (#12), and Singles Chart Top 100 (#41).
In addition, another track “LV Bag” by Dony Toliver and Speedy with j-hope and Pharrell Williams as featured artists debuted at #83. The song had its grand debut at the Louis Vuitton menswear FW25-26 show in Paris in January. Besides that, it entered the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US at #48 and #43.respectively.
With “Sweet Dreams”, j-hope has scored his sixth entry on the Billboard HOT 100 chart. He previously earned a coveted spot on US Billboards with the following songs
- On the Street” (#60)
- “Chicken Noodle Soup” (#81)
- “MORE” (#82)
- “Arson” (#96).
Following the release of “Sweet Dreams”, the “NEURON” rapper has two more singles lined up: “Mona Lisa” set to drop on March 21, and another upcoming single currently in the works.
Meanwhile, j-hope is currently continuing his solo world tour “HOPE ON THE STAGE” in the US with upcoming shows scheduled in Mexico City (March 22-23), San Antonio (March 26-27), and more.
