BTS member Jimin has stepped into the spotlight for the first time since his agency, HYBE (BIGHIT MUSIC), addressed rumors about his past relationship with actress Song Da Eun.
The singer attended The Moon Party Seoul 2025 on Thursday, appearing alongside groupmate and BTS leader RM. His presence quickly grabbed attention, marking one of his rare public outings in recent weeks.
Held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, the event saw Jimin debut a fresh blonde hairstyle. He paired the look with black rectangular glasses, an all-black outfit, and silver accessories. Influencer @mamachichi_style shared the moment in an Instagram Story, showing the 29-year-old star seated beside RM. Fans celebrated the return of his blonde hair online, calling it one of his most iconic styles.
The public appearance came only days after HYBE released a rare statement about Jimin’s personal life. Dating speculation began on August 27, when Song Da Eun posted a now-deleted TikTok video in which she greeted the “Like Crazy” singer near an elevator.
On August 31, HYBE confirmed that Jimin and Song Da Eun had “shared mutual affection in the past, but that was several years ago,” adding that “they are not in a relationship at present.”
The agency asked the public to stop spreading “reckless speculation” about the BTS member’s private life. This marked the only time HYBE officially confirmed a dating rumor involving BTS.
While some online commenters criticized Jimin for staying silent about the situation, many fans defended him against the negativity. On Korean forums such as theqoo, supporters emphasized that his past dating life was not a matter for public judgment.
“The comments are so bad… It’s their private life, so what can be done? It’s not a crime,” one fan wrote. Overall, most fans viewed the backlash as excessive and unfair, focusing instead on his career and music.
Beyond the headlines, BTS is preparing for one of the most anticipated comebacks in K-pop history. All seven members completed their mandatory military service by June 2025, with Suga being the last to return.
The group announced plans to release a new album in spring 2026, with a global tour set to follow. After being in the US since July, most of the BTS members have returned to Korea, including Jimin, V, Jungkook, j-hope, and RM.
