BTS, the sensational K-pop boy group that’s taking the world by storm, is preparing for a military hiatus.
On November 30, BIGHIT MUSIC refused to reveal the exact location and date of remaining BTS members’ military enlistment, stating that they couldn’t confirm it.
However, with various reports surfacing and the youngest member Jungkook announcing his enlistment in December on ‘Weverse’, many fans believe it to be true.
Today, Dispatch revealed that RM and V are set to begin their military service on December 11th at the Nonsan Training Center. V will be supporting the Special Mission Unit of the Army Capital Defense Command, while RM will be assigned to his unit after completing basic military training.
According to a report from Daily Sports, it was stated that on the following day, December 12, Jimin and Jungkook will enlist together at the Army’s 5th Infantry Division recruit training center. Interestingly, Jin, the oldest member of the group, serves as an assistant instructor in that unit.
Based on the Military Service Act, individuals are generally required to fulfill their military service obligation before the age of 30.
While RM, born in 1994, had to enlist earlier, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were able to postpone their enlistment. However, by choosing to enlist around the same time, they have effectively reduced the gap between BTS members due to military service.
Jin, the eldest member of BTS, enlisted in December of last year, while J-Hope started his military service in April. As for SUGA, he has been serving as a social worker since September of last year.
