BTS members RM (Kim Namjoon) and V (Kim Taehyung) drew the spotlight at the VIP screening of director Park Chan Wook’s new film No Other Choice.
The star-studded premiere was held on September 22, 2025, at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall.
The two global stars, making their second high-profile public appearances since completing military service in June, immediately became the highlight of the evening. V especially captivated fans and media alike with his effortless style, pairing a brown T-shirt and loose grey trousers with a blue blazer and brown boat shoes. His look quickly trended online, with fans praising his visuals as “out of this world” and calling him “Kim Taehyung serving looks as always.”
The bond between RM and V, fondly nicknamed “Taejoon” by fans, was also evident as they posed together for photos, flashing hearts and V-signs for the press. The duo previously attended Frieze Night in Seoul earlier this month.
The premiere itself was a star-studded affair, with many of Korea’s top actors and cultural figures in attendance. Hyun Bin, Son Ye Jin, Yoo Yeon Seok, Lee Byung Hun, Lee Jong Suk, and Wi Ha Jun were among the celebrities who graced the red carpet. Lisa of BLACKPINK, who attended the film’s premiere at BIFF 2025, was also present at the premiere; however, she did not walk the red carpet.
At the center of the evening was No Other Choice, a black comedy thriller based on Donald Westlake’s novel The Ax. The film stars Lee Byung Hun as Man Soo, a veteran of the paper industry with 25 years of expertise who suddenly loses his job. After a year of failed attempts to find work, he grows increasingly desperate to secure a position at a rival firm.
His downward spiral leads him to take shocking steps, targeting his competitors in order to protect his family and livelihood. Son Ye Jin stars opposite Lee Byung Hun, portraying his wife, whose life is thrown into turmoil by her husband’s unsettling decisions.
Directed by Park Chan Wook, No Other Choice has already attracted major international attention. The film was invited to compete at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival and chosen as the opening film for the 30th Busan International Film Festival. On the commercial side, anticipation is equally high. Ahead of its September 24 release, the movie has already sold more than 300,000 pre-sale tickets, a strong indication of box office success.
RM and V’s attendance at the premiere added extra buzz, as fans were eager to see the OT7 back in the public eye after their service. While carrying out solo and unit activities, BTS members are simultaneously preparing for their group release and world tour next year.
The next few days are exciting for ARMYs as multiple members will attend Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks, starting with Jin of BTS.
Meanwhile, No Other Choice will premiere in Korean theaters on September 24, with a limited U.S. release on December 25, followed by a wider rollout in January 2026.
