Lovely Runner stars Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, who won in the People’s Choice category, will not be attending the Asia Content Awards and Global OTT Awards.
On October 3, a representative of Byeon Woo Seok informed JTBC Entertainment that he would not be able to attend due to conflicting schedules.
On the other hand, Kim Hye Yoon’s agency revealed her reason for absence, saying, “There was a prior schedule for drama filming. We attempted to adjust the schedule, but it became difficult to attend.”
For the 2024 awards, a new “People’s Choice Award” category was introduced, allowing audiences to directly vote for their favorite OTT actor. Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, stars of “Lovely Runner,” emerged as joint winners.
The 6th Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards, a Busan International Film Festival side event, honors global excellence in TV, OTT, and online content. Established in 2019 for Asian content, the awards went global in 2023. This year, 12 international preliminary jurors and 7 final jurors selected winners from 201 entries across 16 countries and 11 categories.
The 2024 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 6, at 6 PM KST at the Busan Cinema Center.
