Byeon Woo Seok’s rising popularity has unfortunately attracted unwanted attention. Recently, his agency, VARO Entertainment, has reported incidents of impersonation, where scammers posed as representatives of the Korean actor.
After the popularity of his tvN drama “Lovely Runner”, Byeon Woo Seok has become one of the most sought-after Kdrama actors. He has become the face of many luxury brands due to his growing popularity.
The 33-year-old actor attracts huge crowds wherever he goes and also became a victim of privacy invasion by sasaengs. His agency has repeatedly requested fans to maintain their distance and refrain from visiting filming locations. They have also taken legal action against the online harassment faced by Byeon Woo Seok.
More recently, it has come to light that these impostors are misleading fans by posing as legitimate agents.
On March 24, VARO Entertainment warned fans, stating,
Recently, there have been cases of individuals claiming to have the agency rights for Byeon Woo Seok’s overseas performances and attempting to gain financial benefits. Our company has not granted exclusive rights to any specific individual regarding Byun Woo Seok’s fan meetings, performances, or events. There are no agency contracts in place. We urge you to be cautious and avoid any involvement in illegal activities that impersonate our company or cause harm.
