Cignature has come to the end of the road.
After debuting in 2020, the group has announced that they will be disbanding and bringing an end to their 4-year journey.
On December 3, C9 Entertainment broke the news through their official fan cafe, stating, “Through mutual discussions between the company and the members, we have confirmed that the team’s disbandment is necessary.”
The agency stated, “Accordingly, we’ll terminate the exclusive contracts of all seven members of Cignature, regardless of the remaining contract period, and the group’s activities will also come to an end as of November 30, 2024.”
The agency continued, “We’d like to express our deep gratitude to the members who have done their best as Cignature members despite numerous difficulties. We also apologize for delivering this sudden news to the fans who have cherished Cignature, and we ask for your warm support for the members who will start a new future in various fields.”
Cignature debuted in February 2020 and dropped multiple albums and singles including “ASSA,” “Listen and Speak,” “Dear Diary Moment,” and more. They made their last comeback in June 2024 with the 5th mini-album “Sweetie but Saltie.”
Fans will undoubtedly miss the group’s bright energy and catchy tunes, but they will also be excited to see what the future holds for each of the members.
