After VICTON’s Do Hanse, CNBLUE’s Lee Jung Shin has exposed the shockingly low music show appearance fee.

Previously, Do Hanse dropped the bombshell that idols get paid around $36 or 50,000 Won for music show appearances.

Now, Lee Jung Shin revealed spending tens of millions of won for live performances.

The 32-year-old idol recently appeared on BIGBANG’s Daesung YouTube channel, where he shared his thoughts on music broadcasts. He explained that music shows were not a viable option for bands to perform live, as they required a high level of rehearsal and setup, including connecting numerous wires.

Despite this, CNBLUE was often criticized for not performing live, with some assuming they were incapable of doing so. In reality, the band was simply unable to meet the demands of music shows due to their live setup requirements.

He shared that the band members were haunted by criticism that they couldn’t perform live.

Therefore, they decided to fund their own all-live show on music broadcasts, using their own money to show their skills and silence their critics.

Lee Jung Shin said that performing live on a music show as a band costs over 30 million won, a huge difference from the usual 50,000 won appearance fee.

Fans think it’s unfair that idols, who pour their heart and soul into their live performances, receive such low pay.
