Hwang Yunseong is enlisting for his mandatory military service as an active-duty soldier today, March 24.
The DRIPPIN leader will enlist at the Nonsan Army Training Center in South Chungcheong Province. Following approximately 5 weeks of basic training, he will be assigned to a unit and serve as an active-duty soldier.
As the first member of DRIPPIN to enlist, Hwang Yunseong shared a heartfelt, handwritten letter with fans, known as DREAMIN, on March 19.
In his letter, Hwang promised to return healthy and as a more mature version of himself.
Ahead of his military enlistment, the 24-year-old K-pop star shared a message with his fans through Woollim Entertainment, saying, “”I believe this is an opportunity for me to grow even more. I will do my best to fulfill my duty to the nation and return as a more developed and handsome person.”
He continued, “DREAMIN (DRIPPIN’s official fan club name), I hope you all stay healthy and happy. Thank you always and I love you. Please continue to cheer for the members.”
Woollim Entertainment asked fans to refrain from visiting the recruit training center to prevent congestion and ensure safety. The agency thanked fans for their unwavering support and requested their warm encouragement for Hwang Yunseong as he fulfills his military duty.
DRIPPIN is a 6-member boy band, active since October 2025. They made their final full-group comeback in August 2024 with the single album “Weekend”.
