ENHYPEN made waves at Coachella 2025 on Saturday night, delivering a high-energy performance. They surprised fans with the announcement of their upcoming album, “DESIRE: UNLEASH,” set to release on June 5, 2025.
The comeback date was previously announced during a Weverse live after the first Coachella performance on April 12.
The seven-member group, performing at the Sahara Tent as part of Coachella’s lineup, captivated the crowd with hits like “Bite Me” and “Sweet Venom” before revealing the title and release date of their new project on the big screen. The phrase “CAN’T TOUCH YOU, BUT I’M GONNA MAKE YOU MINE” grabbed attention before the album title was revealed.
The announcement sent social media into a frenzy, with “DESIRE UNLEASH” and “ENCHELLA” quickly trending worldwide.
A New Era for ENHYPEN
“DESIRE: UNLEASH” marks ENHYPEN’s first full-group comeback since their 2024 mini-album “ROMANCE: UNTOLD”. It is expected to explore more romantic themes.
Fans speculate that the title “DESIRE: UNLEASH” hints at a concept centered around “raw ambition and temptation”, possibly tying into ENHYPEN’s vampire-inspired lore.
Their popularity in the US exploded after their Coachella performance. It’s like a whole new chapter for them now, especially since they just hit a major milestone.
Making History at Coachella
ENHYPEN followed in the footsteps of K-pop acts like BLACKPINK, ATEEZ, and LE SSERAFIM, who previously headlined the festival. They are the fastest K-pop boy band to take the Sahara stage, and they are expected to return in the future as well.
They thrilled the crowd with their stable vocals during their debut Coachella performance on April 12. They kept the performance going and brought the same energy for the Coachella week 2 show.
On April 19, they opened the Coachella set with “Intro + Blockbuster followed by a string of hits like “Blessed-Cursed”, “Future Perfect (Pass the MIC)”, “ParadoXXX Invasion”, “Paranormal”, “XO (Only if You Say Yes)” (Coachella Ver.), “No Doubt”, and more.
They saved the best for the last and energized the crowd with performances of “Sweet Venom”, “Daydream”, “Moonstruck”, “Bite Me”, “Drunk-Dazed”, and “Brought The Heat Back”.
“Feel the desert breeze, and feel the energy, let it all out,” said leader Jungwon during the performance. Member Jake shared, “This is just the beginning you guys and I can already feel your energy is incredible. Let’s make tonight a night we’ll never forget.”
What’s Next?
Pre-orders for “DESIRE: UNLEASH” are expected to begin in early May, with a world tour to follow. After their first Coachella performance, they announced stops for the world tour “WALK THE LINE” in the US and Europe.
They will kick off the US leg of the world tour with two shows on August 6 and 7 in New York. Next, they will hold concerts in Chicago, IL (August 9), Houston, TX (August 12-13), and Los Angeles, California (August 16)
As ENHYPEN wraps their Coachella stint, all eyes are now on June 5 and how they will impress with this new release.
