SM Entertainment has officially announced that former RIIZE member Seunghan will debut as a solo artist under the new stage name XngHan in late July 2025. The rebranding hints at a fresh start for the 21-year-old singer after his controversial departure from RIIZE last October.

The name XngHan (pronounced identically to his Korean name, Seunghan) incorporates the letter “X” to represent “endless potential.”

SM Entertainment explained that the moniker reflects his ambition to “defy fixed stereotypes” through collaborations under the XngHan & Xoul project. He will partner with various creatives, like dancers and designers, for each release.

XngHan is set to collaborate with different Xoul members on various projects, as per SM Entertainment. For his debut project, he will be working with two skilled dancers. However, the agency hasn’t revealed the identities of these dancers just yet.

Seunghan’s career took a turbulent turn in November 2023 when pre-debut photos of him smoking and in intimate settings surfaced online. This led to an indefinite hiatus from RIIZE. Following a brief attempt to rejoin in October 2024, Seunghan ultimately parted ways with RIIZE for good amid fan backlash.

During his time away, the idol underwent training in production and vocals under SM Entertainment’s guidance. Recent social media teasers, including dance practice videos, are building hype for his upcoming solo debut.
