All eyes are now on the trio as they will be a part of the audition program, I-LAND 2.

The announcement of Song Kang and Teddy joining I-LAND 2 came on March 11. Now, it has been disclosed that Jeon Somi will also be part of the project.

Mnet’s I-LAND 2: N/a (referred to as ‘I-LAND 2’) has set its first broadcast for April 18 and is currently focused on filming. I-LAND 2, with predominantly underage contestants, has sparked controversy prior to airing due to allegations of production staff abuse of power.

However, there are also many aspects that are generating high anticipation.

Teddy, a former member of the group, became the main producer at YG Entertainment after the group disbanded. He worked with BIGBANG, 2NE1, and BLACKPINK, showcasing his talent. Currently, he is gearing up to debut a new girl group that he personally produced.

Known for his exceptional skills and unique style, Teddy, who produced many of BLACKPINK’s hits, is a highly respected producer. His rare public appearances have sparked curiosity about his role in I-LAND 2.

Song Kang takes on the role of a storyteller in I-LAND which portrays the competition and growth journeys of the participants in the divided spaces of ‘I-LAND’ and ‘Ground’. The ‘storyteller’ serves as a connecting link with the audience, shaping the overall narrative.

After the impactful presence of actor Namgoong Min in Season 1, there is anticipation surrounding the performance of Song Kang. With his upcoming military enlistment on April 2, fans are eagerly awaiting his appearance in I-LAND 2 as a special treat.

As per the latest reports, Jeon Somi is set to join I-LAND 2 through her connection with Teddy, who heads her agency, The Black Label. However, her specific role in ‘I-LAND 2’ is kept under wraps. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see what Jeon Somi, the winner of Produce 101, the popular Mnet audition survival show, will bring to I-LAND 2
