BTS SUGA can not seem to catch a break following the DUI controversy.
Most recently, a civil complaint was filed against the 31-year-old BTS rapper, requesting to investigate his military attendance.
New allegations of neglect of duty have emerged against SUGA, who is currently serving as a social service worker. Eyewitnesses claim that he was caught sleeping during his service training.
As reported by Sports Kyunghyang on August 13, a whistleblower post on the social service app ‘Public Interest Human’ has accused the Haegum rapper of lacking sincerity in his service.
A former trainee who attended basic military training with SUGA last November has come forward, alleging that he failed to take his responsibilities seriously. The trainee claims that SUGA, who was supposed to be the group leader, consistently skipped classes and slept through educational sessions.
‘He didn’t participate in classes for four nights and five days,’ the trainee said. ‘The instructor even scolded him, but he just woke up, nodded, checked his phone, and went back to sleep.'”
A new complaint against him says his drunk driving incident shows he is not taking his duties seriously. The complainant wants the Military Manpower Administration to check the CCTV footage to see if SUGA is doing his job properly.
SUGA was recently caught riding an electric scooter in Seoul while heavily intoxicated, with a blood alcohol level of 0.227% – a record high for a celebrity. BIGHIT MUSIC was accused of downplaying the incident by claiming he was riding an “electric kickboard.”
After it was established that he was riding a foldable electric scooter, SUGA will face further police questioning, and his agency and the Military Manpower Administration are working together to schedule the investigation.
