BLACKPINK’s Rosé appeared as a guest on the popular YouTube show “Hot Ones” on the “First We Feast Channel.
Her interview and reaction to Hot Wings are all over the internet.
However, some fans are pointing out that the 27-year-old singer masterfully dodged a question related to CL.
Sean Evans, the host of the show, posed a question to her, referencing CL, who appeared on “Hot Ones,” and noting that they were the first K-pop artist to attend the Met Gala in 2021.
However, Rosé cuts him off mid-question, reacting to the wings, saying, “Wow, that’s spicy, it’s hitting me now.” After a short pause, she went on to answer the question about the Met Gala.
Fans had mixed reactions to her response, with some believing she intentionally avoided answering the question about CL, while others thought it was a genuine reaction to the spicy food.
Fans of 2NE1 and BLACKPINK are often in conflict. In the past, CL appeared to take a jab at BLACKPINK’s Jennie during her solo debut. When a BLINK left a harsh comment on one of CL’s tweets, she responded with, “#udontsendrabbitstokillatiger.”
Last year, another 2NE1 member Sandara Park received criticism for saying that a lot of fans transferred to BLACKPINK.
Despite the public perception, they have never openly criticized each other. In fact, Jennie attended the 2NE1’s comeback concert in Seoul last month.
On the work front, Rosé’s debut album “rosie” is set to release on December 6 and BLACKPINK’s full-group comeback is slated for 2025. Meanwhile, 2NE1 will begin their Asia tour this month which will continue in 2025.
