On December 23, fans trended #WakeoneTreatRickyBetter and ZEROBASEONE is 9 on X to bring everyone’s attention to Ricky’s mistreatment by the company.
The latest episode of the group’s variety show, ZBTV, was released on December 22. Fans noticed that during the part where the members wrote heartfelt letters to each other, Ricky’s letter was the only one that didn’t make it into the show.
ZB1 members read each other’s letter out loud, however, Ricky’s letter was snipped from the episode. ZEROSEs believed that the letter of the 19-year-old Chinese singer was omitted on purpose.
WAKE ONE Entertainment is receiving massive backlash for cutting Ricky’s letter from the episode. This is not the first time the agency has allegedly mistreated Ricky.
Back in October, there was a video that went viral where Ricky’s manager was apparently scolding him during a livestream. Just recently, there were some sightings of Ricky on a train, and it seemed like he was on a private schedule.
Fans noticed that he was only accompanied by one staff member and two bodyguards, which made them concerned about his security. After this incident, they demand better and equal treatment of all group members.
