V’s devoted fanbase has had enough of HYBE’s perceived disregard for his career. Fans feel the 28-year-old singer deserves more – more solo opportunities, more promotional support, and more recognition.

They allege that V has been consistently overlooked for solo projects, collaborations, and promotional initiatives.

The recent leak of HYBE’s scandalous internal report, containing an assessment of K-pop idols, has added fuel to the fire.

As per the leaked report, HYBE intentionally delayed the restocking of “Layover,” which led to over 800K canceled sales. Consequently, it impacted the debut-week sales of his debut release.

In addition, the agency protected antis and was aware of the hate campaigns targeting him on the Korean internet community forums.

Plus, HYBE subscribed to Sojang, notorious for defaming K-pop idols and spreading lies. The infamous YouTuber also released defamatory content against V and Jungkook.

When the “Slow Dancing” singer filed a lawsuit against Sojang in 2021-2022, the investigation was halted and resumed this year after several K-pop idols took legal action against the content creator.

This year alone, fans have criticized HYBE numerous times for being biased against V, and have demanded him to leave BTS due to the constant career sabotage.

Last month, V’s fancam was strangely deleted from the YouTube channel MOMBO, while fan cams of other members remained. This led to protests from fans with the trend “Taehyung is BTS Too.” After growing backlash, HYBE retracted copyright claims and the fancam was stored.

Putting aside fans’ sentiments, BTS means a lot to the “Love Me Again” singer and he has shown his love for the group and members on numerous occasions.

Last year, BTS renewed their contract with HYBE, hinting at full-fledged activities in 2025. In a Disney+ documentary series “BTS Monuments: Beyond the Stars” released in December 2023, he shared that the reason for renewing the contract with the agency was for “members to smile and be happy.”

He added, “Regardless of the relationship with the agency, I signed my contract to see them smile, even if it’s just for a moment.”

On another note, BTS will begin full-fledged group activities in mid-2024 when all members are discharged from the military.
