Known by his stage name XIA, he endured five years of threats and extortion, during which he was coerced into paying 800 million won.

She was previously accused of threatening Kim 101 times from September 2020 until October 2024. This all started after they met in 2019, after which the broadcaster jockey started blackmailing the singer and musical actor.

After their meeting, she recorded their conversations and audio and threatened to share these recordings on social media unless Junsu paid to keep them from being released. It is worth noting that she committed these crimes to obtain money for drug use.

At the time his agency Palm Tree Island shared that the former TVXQ member was a victim of exploitation by her, who abused his celebrity status for personal gain. The agency clarified that he was entirely innocent and was unfairly targeted.

On February 6, the 11th Criminal Division of Uijeongbu District Court, led by Judge Oh Chang Seop, sentenced the female BJ to 7 years in prison for blackmail under the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes.

Previously, prosecutors had sought a 7-year prison term, citing the defendant’s 101 instances of extortion via social media. She stole around 840 million won from the victim.

Last month, prosecutors sought a 7-year prison sentence, citing the defendant’s repeated extortion attempts (101 instances) via social media, which yielded approximately 840 million won from the victim.

The court found the defendant guilty of extortion, stating that she recorded private conversations, took photos, and exploited her relationship with the victim to demand money.

The defendant admitted to the crimes, and the court considered all related evidence in reaching its verdict.

While explaining the sentencing, the court remarked that the crime’s nature was severe, given its method, duration, and the significant damage caused. The victim suffered substantial economic and emotional harm.
