FIFTY FIFTY has finally lifted the curtains on the final member, Athena!
ATTRAKT dropped a surprise on August 12, releasing their first individual trailer on YouTube at midnight!
The trailer finally revealed the identity of their new member, Athena, whose name was kept under wraps until the very end of the group trailer posted on August 9.
Athena’s mini-game-inspired trailer is a fun and playful introduction to her personality. She appears in a cute outfit, resembling a game character, and showcases her unique style in the ‘ATHENA’s PICK’ segment.
Three new members of FIFTY FIFTY were introduced through the video: Chanelle Moon, Yewon, and Hana. Chanelle Moon and Yewon previously participated in the survival audition program ‘RU Next?’ by HYBE Label’s BELIFT LAB last summer. Here are some key facts about each member:
- Chanelle Moon (born 2003) holds dual citizenship in Korea and the US.
- Yewon (born 2005) is from Korea.
- Hana (born 2006) is the youngest of the revealed members and previously ran a YouTube channel called ‘Singing Haram’ before joining the group.
FIFTY FIFTY debuted in 2022 with four members, achieving global success with their song Cupid. However, members Keena, Saena, Aran, and Sio filed an injunction against ATTRAKT in June 2023 due to contract disputes.
The court ruled in favor of ATTRAKT and while Keena returned to the agency, Saena, Aran, and Sio left FIFTY FIFTY and continued their legal battle after being notified of contract termination. They have now joined a new agency and are set to debut as a new girl group this year.
Lastly, FIFTY FIFTY will release a second mini-album on September 20.
