Kim Garam, who departed from the group LE SSERAFIM amidst allegations of school violence, is now making headlines for reportedly enrolling in the Department of Theater and Film at Konkuk University.
Kim Garam will be attending the graduation ceremony at Seoul Performing Arts High School on February 7. It’s been a year and seven months since she left LE SSERAFIM for her solo journey in 2022.
With Garam’s upcoming enrollment in Konkuk University’s College of Art and Design as a media acting major, everyone is curious to see if she’ll continue her journey as an actor after leaving the girl group.
After debuting with LE SSERAFIM, there were reports that she hung out with some questionable friends in middle school and that she faced public criticism on social media.
SOURCE MUSIC responded to the controversy by saying that it was all malicious slander. They claimed that the problems that occurred during Garam’s early days of making friends in middle school were cleverly edited to create a negative image.
They also mentioned that Garam Kim was actually a victim of violence and cyberbullying during that time. Unfortunately, more revelations came out, and eventually, Garam had to pause her activities.
After the controversy, Garam Kim took a hiatus from activities and eventually left the team. Now, LE SSERAFIM is active with five members.
