His departure from the group due to a controversy surrounding his personal life has received a lot of attention in the last few weeks.

SM Entertainment has officially announced Seunghan’s solo debut, set to take place in the latter half of 2025.

In a statement released on November 15, the agency revealed that the 21-year-old K-pop idol is receiving comprehensive training to ensure a successful solo debut. The agency expressed gratitude, asking fans for their support.

His solo debut plans have sparked mixed reactions as many want to see him as a RIIZE member. The former SM Rookies member joined RIIZE in September, but his private pre-debut photos with his girlfriend released before his debut ignited a firestorm.

He went on indefinite hiatus in November 2023 and his return to the group was announced on October 11.

However, SM Entertainment withdrew its decision after OT6 fans sent 1000 funeral wreaths to protest his return. Many international fans have shown their support for Seunghan by sending protest trucks and unfollowing RIIZE on all social media.

Fans are criticizing SM Entertainment’s decision of his solo debut and wish to see him a part of RIIZE instead.
