fromis_9 has revealed plans for their upcoming comeback with a new album titled From Our 20’s. Notably, the group will be returning with a reorganized lineup consisting of 5 members.
On June 10 at midnight, ASND Label announced a comeback schedule poster for their upcoming album, From Our 20’s, on all social media platforms.
As per the schedule, fromis_9 will release the following content leading up to the release of their 6th mini-album, For Our 20’s
- Ready: June 12-13
- Departure: June 16-17
- Journey: June 18-19
- Highlight Medley: June 20
- MV Teaser: June 24
- Release June 25
Last month, ASND confirmed their June comeback, stating
We are preparing a new album with a summer vibe that showcases fromis_9’s unique charm.
In December 2024, all eight members of fromis_9 left PLEDIS Entertainment, their longtime agency. None of the members renewed their contracts and went their separate ways. During their time with the label, they expressed their dissatisfaction with the management and complained about not getting enough opportunities as other HYBE groups.
Five members Hayoung, Jiwon, Chaeyoung Nagyung, and Jiheon chose to continue group activities and signed with the ASND label in January.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Korea, member Jiheon shared her thoughts about the upcoming album
When I think of this album, I’m reminded of the image of the sea that everyone dreams of. You can feel a much freer atmosphere not only in the title track but also in the B-sides. We put a lot of thought into, ‘What kind of newness can we show with a five-member combination?’ while still maintaining fromis_9’s unique color, which has always presented songs full of positive vibes.
This will be their first comeback as a five-member group, coming six months after their special single “from” in December of last year. It was released as a farewell before leaving PLEDIS Entertainment.
Meanwhile, fromis_9 will release their 6th mini-album, From Our 20’s, on June 26.
