fromis_9 member Lee Chae Young shared her worries about the group’s extended hiatus.
fromis_9, a HYBE group, is not as frequently visible to fans. Unlike other HYBE groups that typically make comebacks every 6 to 7 months, fromis_9 is often out of the spotlight.
Recently, a group member voiced worries about the group’s break and expressed eagerness to return and engage in promotions.
In a live stream, the Chaeyoung shared, “Why aren’t we allowed to promote? Why can’t only Fromis_9 (can’t)? It’s so sad.” She then revealed her upset feelings by saying, “I have flover (fandom name),” and added, “I also have fans, I have never voiced this before.”
The 23-year-old idol went on to say, “How long should I wait?” “When I think of the fans, the company shouldn’t do this, but I’m tired now.”
They dropped an album last year but have been quiet on the album front since. It’s only normal for the members to feel worried and speak up about it.
Chae Young appears to have expressed dissatisfaction as the album hiatus lengthened compared to other HYBE groups. Presently, fromis_9 is under PLEDIS Entertainment, a label within HYBE. Alongside fromis_Nine, Pledis Entertainment manages SEVENTEEN and TWS.
Meanwhile, fromis_9 was created through Mnet’s ‘Idol School’ in 2017 and debuted as an eight-member girl group in January 2018.
