On May 23, Starbucks announced a collaboration with NCT by releasing a video of the collaboration merchandise.

Fans and prominent fan clubs have started to condemn SM Entertainment for partnering with a brand that is funding genocide in Palestine.

Moreover, NCTzens sent protest trucks to SM Entertainment headquarters to express their disapproval of the latest collab. That’s not it, they are calling a boycott and refusing to buy anything from NCT x Starbucks merch.

K-pop fans have repeatedly spoken out against entertainment agencies and idols endorsing brands with pro-Israel ties.

They want K-pop groups to avoid collaborating with brands that have been boycotted for their support of Israel’s actions in Gaza.

On another note, Starbucks Korea is teaming up with NCT from May 30 to July 4 to promote K-pop and engage with fans. As part of this exclusive Korean collaboration, they’re introducing a limited-edition drink called ‘Neo Cool Tasty Plum Physio’, inspired by NCT’s official color and featuring a pink heart konjac topping.

This special drink will be available alongside other collaborative products, including NCT Photo Card Holder Keyring, NCT Removable Sticker Set,  NCT Starbucks Card, and more.
