G-Dragon ended his 7-year solo hiatus with back-to-back comebacks in late 2024. The overwhelming response from K-pop fans reveals how much fans were waiting to hear new music from the K-pop icon.

In October, he made his first solo comeback in years with the digital single “Power” and then went on to release another single “HOME SWEET HOME” (ft. Taeyang and Daesung) ahead of his long-awaited performance at the 2024 MAMA Awards.

On January 6, rumors circulated that G-Dragon is planning to release a full-length album in February. As per the report by a news media outlet, the upcoming full-length album will feature previously released tracks “Power” and “HOME SWEET HOME”.

However, his agency Galaxy Corporation has denied reports of a February album release, stating “nothing has been decided” when contacted by OSEN.

Since late 2024, G-Dragon is slowly resuming activities by appearing on variety shows, music festivals, and more. He performed on the final day of K-pop’s most prestigious MAMA Awards and SBS Gayo Daejeon.

Besides his solo comeback, he is gearing up to lead a unique variety show “Good Day” with PD Kim Tae Ho at the helm. The “Good Day” project brings together artists from different backgrounds to reimagine and recreate songs.

Many renowned Korean stars such as BSS, aespa, Code Kunst, Jung Hae In, DAY6, Kim Soo Hyun, and more will appear as guests. The show will be broadcast on MBC early this year.

While the rumors of his February comeback are denied, fans can look forward to an official announcement about his upcoming album and world tour soon.
