G-Dragon’s artwork, which was set to be auctioned, was unexpectedly called off on the auction day.
G-Dragon’s piece ‘Youth is Flower’ was supposed to go up for auction at the Contemporary Art Sale in Seoul Auction Gangnam Center at Sinsa-dong, Seoul on March 29, but it’s been verified that the auction was called off.
His creation portrays daisies, representing himself, made by using spray and marker on the steel panel inside the 2017 Untitled (also known as GD Cafe) during his time as a brand ambassador for Jeju Shinhwa World in 2017. The opening bid for the auction is set at 30 million won.
Galaxy Corporation revealed, “After checking with the artist, it was not the artist himself who submitted the artwork for auction. The artist has no knowledge of who submitted the work and how it was submitted.”
