Gaeun has parted ways with her agency, MADEIN, amid allegations of a deeply disturbing nature.
According to reports, Gaeun reached out to JTBC’s “Scandal Supervisor” and has accused the 143’s Entertainment CEO of sexual harassment.
On November 29, the agency announced his departure from MADEIN, stating, “MADEIN member Gaeun has left the team as of today. Since her debut in September, Gaeun has made a lot of effort for MADEIN’s activities. However, due to overlapping personal circumstances, it became difficult for her to participate in team activities.
From now on, MADEIN will operate with six members: Mashiro, MiU, Suhye, Yeseo, Serena, and Nagomi. All previously scheduled activities, which were temporarily put on hold, will resume as normal.
Regarding the recent allegations of sexual harassment, we clearly state that they are completely groundless. We possess concrete evidence to prove the falsity of these claims. If a legal issue arises, we will diligently address it.
We apologize for sharing this heavy news with our fans. We ask for your continued warm support and encouragement for Gaeun and MADEIN.”
Earlier this month, the 19-year-old K-pop idol raised eyebrows when she unfollowed the agency’s CEO and removed “MADEIN” from her bio on Instagram.
Shortly after, 143 Entertainment announced that she would be pausing her activities for a while due to media reasons. Later, it was revealed through JTBC’s “Scandal Supervisor” that the CEO asked her to be his girlfriend for a day if she wanted to stay on the team.
On another note, After her departure, the group will continue with six members, resuming all previously scheduled activities.
